Dr. Matelic specializes in the prevention and treatment of injuries in athletes of all ages. With a focus on sports medicine, arthroscopy and reconstructive surgery, including ligament reconstruction, cartilage restoration and joint replacement. His goal is to help patients maintain active, productive and enjoyable lifestyles. Dr. Matelic serves as team physician for several local high school, college and professional athletic teams, and he is currently Assistant Clinical Professor at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, and the Metro Health – University of Michigan Health Orthopedic Surgery Residency Director. He and his wife Cynthia have raised five children in West Michigan and they enjoy staying active outdoors.
